Decarbonization and supplier commitment: how to scale up?
Sustainability and decarbonization are key challenges for companies. While this challenge should place the purchasing function at the center of the game, many buyers still have questions about what to do next.
On the occasion of the Universités des Achats 2023, of which By.O Group was once again a premium partner, our teams recorded a TV workshop on the theme of “Engaging suppliers in a decarbonization and sustainability plan: how to scale up?”, with the participation of Jean-Luc Baras, President of the CNA and CPO of the Eiffage Group.
Decarbonization: buyers’ concerns
During this workshop, we have chosen to freely answer the questions that buyers ask themselves in order to gain some perspective on the subject:
Here are some of the topics discussed during the workshop:
- Does the buyer have to be an expert in decarbonization?
- Is a decarbonization plan expensive?
- Should all suppliers be addressed in the same way?
- What are the priorities for action?
These questions should enable buyers to identify the actions to be taken internally and with suppliers to put a decarbonization plan into practice at scale. These questions should enable buyers to identify the actions to be taken internally and with suppliers to put a decarbonization plan into practice at scale.
